Review
Summary |
Cardio-Edge is a dietary supplement by Tsang Nutrition. It is claimed to be “Scientifically-based cardiovascular and cholesterol support with Sytrinol™.” The good thing about Cardio-Edge seems to be that it supplies at least 400 mg of Plant Sterols, otherwise also known as Phytosterols. On the other hand, the promotional offer for Cardio-Edge may not be as attractive as some other cholesterol-lowering supplements on the market.
Although hypercholesterolemia may be quite common and potentially dangerous, individuals have a choice: whether to go with prescription drugs with potential side effects, or to look for natural means. Therefore, in this review we will discuss hypercholesterolemia and how Plant Sterols may offer support. We will also look at Cardio-Edge in some detail, and conclude whether we may do better by trusting in some better, natural supplements.

 | Ingredients at a Glance |
|
As mentioned above, Cardio-Edge supplies 400 mg of Phytosterols. It also supplies 150 mg of Sytrinol™, which is a trademark of KGK Synergize. Sytrinol™ is a proprietary blend of polymethoxylated flavones and tocotrienols from citrus and palm fruit. Besides these, Cardio-Edge also contains Pomegranate Extract, standardized to 40% Ellagic Acid. However, we believe that the formula in question may not supply the optimum amount of these Plant Sterols.

 | Ingredients in Focus |
|
Plant Sterols may only be found in trace amounts in natural foods. Therefore, we believe it may be a better idea to take a supplement that supplies the optimum amount of Plant Sterols. An option may be to drink lots of milk or eat lots of food containing soy or tofu. Nevertheless, if we are averse to these food items, the efficient choice surely may be taking it in a capsule form.
The question then is essentially about how much Phytosterols may be sufficient and optimum for the body to meaningfully reduce LDL levels. The market may have a number of formulas similar to the product in review; in fact, about 200-500 mg seems to be the norm. However, some recent studies seem to show that we may have to take significantly more of these Phytosterols to really lower the bad cholesterol count.

It has long been well established that cholesterol level may play a significant role in cardiovascular disease. If an individual has a history of high cholesterol and is over the age of 20, then it is said to be important to have blood cholesterol levels analyzed every couple of years. Furthermore, it may be a good idea to watch your diet. However, it may be asking too much of oneself to give up red meats or eggs and other food items that are otherwise healthy and desirable but for their high cholesterol.

 | Final Thoughts |
|
As per the American Heart Association, the desirable LDL level is considered to be less than 100mg/dL. Meanwhile, many of us may not be meeting this mark. Therefore, an individual may wish to take a formula that supplies Phytosterols, which are, as discussed above in detail, cholesterol-like compounds found in plant products. These Plant Sterols have been exhaustively reviewed and analyzed to be valuable in lowering cholesterol.
It has been widely established that abnormally high levels of LDL may significantly increase the risk of heart disease. The last couple of decades have seen a rise in a lot of generic and brand-name drugs for lowering cholesterol. Of course, it is an option to go with prescription drugs. However, for many of us, the potentially dangerous side effects may not be attractive. Therefore, a practical and wise option may be to start on an all-natural supplement coming with 30 or 60 days 100% refund guarantee.
