Review
Summary |
Cholesto-Lipid is advertised as a cholesterol-lowering supplement by a company called PowerNutra. We like the fact that it is basic. Nowadays, it is possible to find a number of cholesterol lowering drugs; some of the brand-names may even be so familiar to us that we may instantly recognize them. On the same note, we may also be quite familiar with the unpleasant, and sometimes dangerous, side effects that many of these drugs may have. For instance, statins are commonly known to potentially cause muscular atrophy.
Opposed to such drugs are natural formulas. Usually, if we shop right and look at trustworthy manufacturers, all-natural products may be way better than synthetic products. We believe that the same applies for cholesterol-lowering formulas as well. Therefore, we will take a closer look at the Cholesto-Lipid ingredients and conclude whether it may really be an effective product with potential benefits, or whether there may be better formulas on the market.

 | Ingredients at a Glance |
|
Cholesto-Lipid contains four main ingredients, which are as follows: Niacin Inositol-Hexanicotinate, Red Yeast Rice, L-Carnitine and Guggulsterones. These ingredients may be quite common nowadays. In fact, L-Carnitine and Guggul may be found in many different types of supplements, from weight loss pills to energy drinks to even libido-boosting formulas. This very fact may make some of us wonder whether any may be effective.

 | Ingredients in Focus |
|
Red Yeast Rice is claimed to significantly reduce total cholesterol. It is said that it reduces LDL, or bad cholesterol, and triglycerides, while not really affecting the HDL, or the good cholesterol, levels. However, there may not be enough evidence to back these claims. Similarly, Niacin is just an organic compound also known as Vitamin B3. As such, it may be found in numerous supplements. Although it may have some overall health benefits, we do not see how it may exactly reduce LDL levels.

 | Lifestyle |
|
As per the American Heart Association, the desirable LDL level is considered to be less than 100mg/dL. It has long been well recognized, and, in fact, widely established that cholesterol level may play a significant role in cardiovascular disease. Therefore, it may be a really good idea to start thinking about lowering LDL levels. There are many ways to go about doing this. Proper dieting and regular exercising are said to be important as well. However, for many of us, giving up on food we like may not be desirable, and/or following a rigorous exercise regimen may not be feasible. For such people, taking a cholesterol-lowering formula may be very attractive.

 | Final Thoughts |
|
In the end, individuals have a choice: whether to go with prescription drugs with potential side effects, or to look for natural avenues, whereby side effects are kept to a minimum. There may be formulas on the market with proven natural ingredients that not only come with 100% refund guarantees within a month or two, but also offer free gifts, like magazine subscriptions.
If an individual has a history of high cholesterol and is over the age of 20, then it is said to be important to have blood cholesterol levels analyzed every couple of years. Furthermore, it may be a good idea to watch your diet. However, it may be asking too much of oneself to give up red meats or eggs and other food items that are otherwise healthy and desirable but for their high cholesterol. Therefore, an individual may wish to take a formula that supplies phytosterols, which are cholesterol-like compounds found in plant products. These Plant Sterols have been exhaustively reviewed and analyzed to be useful in lowering cholesterol.
